The factions have developed a base from which to grow, but in order to really work they will have to really be treated as entities within SeeD instead of branches from a Runescape clan. While we will have exactly the same (and still growing) presence in Runescape, SeeD as a whole will be considered a multi-game clan. Relatively speaking, not many have really succeeded at this because it is so hard to form a base as broad as this... But we have the means to do it and succeed. We already have a member base, we just need to do it, and once we do we will begin to gain a presence in all online games.
Really nothing is lost, we will be physically the same exact clan. Just a change of terminology and adjustments to a few areas of organization.
Here is basically what is planned to change as of this moment:
*************************************
Gardens:
The only really big change is likely to come to Gardens. In our current state Gardens are kinda out of place... And relatively speaking, the Member Manager is a common source of confusion as well as an unnecessary leech for forum activity. Members go there, sign up, and then forget about the place because they don't bother going into SeeD past the registration process (sad as it is, lol). Why not introduce them to the community first-hand upon registration... After all, first impressions are worth everything anyway.
Gardens helped with administration greatly while we were only in one game, but going into multiple games defeats the system's purpose. We don't want new SeeDs from other games ending up there, lol, there would be no point.
Probably to the delight of many members, lol, the Member Manager will most likely freeze and become archived like our old member list.
To take its place as a member list would be member management threads in faction forums. That way members can join multiple factions without confusion.
"Gardens" will not disappear though. The current "Garden Discussion" forum will be revamped to allow for them to exist as game-independent societies within SeeD (which members may join if they wish). This will provide a different level of organization, give the place a slightly freer atmosphere, add to the personality of the clan (like one could turn out to be more "insane", one more serious, etc.), and will also promote inter-faction activity.

The SeeD Website:
Basically the structure is what will change. Outdated content will be updated, the history will be updated, and other things here and there will be updated. RS-specific information (not including guides) will be moved to the RS faction forum. Navigation will assist with more quickly accessing the faction forums, and the registration process will be faction-dependent (please look at what I said about Gardens if you haven't). Guides, on the other hand, will remain. The SeeD website could eventually become a decent compendium of guides for various games if members decide to submit them.
The layout will remain about the same for now.

The Forums:
This will probably be controversial, but the board index will need to be made inter-game. Basically some things will be moved around and/or changed to be suitable for all factions.
- The Market as it is now will be moved to the RS faction forum. On the board index another inter-game market forum will exist. Within that forum there will be a redirect link to the RS market.
- SeeD Court will have a slight change of description to incorporate all games.
- RS Help And Information will move to the Gaming Center as a subforum.
- Changes to Garden Discussion have been mentioned above. It will not move though.
- Sub-Garden Discussion will be archived since it would be made obsolete. Perhaps opportunities can exist to allow for certain reformations of these sub-Gardens as something more appealing (and not "sub" anything, lol).
- Inter-Clan Relations Board will remain the same, although could have a slight edit to the title or description.
- PK Discussion will probably be altered to broaden it instead of moved.
- The Emblem system will change to provide different ways of getting Emblems, and so will its forum to accomodate it. All Emblems previously gained can remain, no one will lose them during the change.
- With a broader scope (not just SeeD), some forums may obtain different names to make them more interesting.
*************************************
Nothing has been done yet. I have not yet physically touched anything on the site to move toward these changes except for some work on the history. Why am I listing them all now?
So you can provide feedback

While certain things will need to change in some way, the manner in which some are changed could be altered. It will be much easier to throw around ideas now instead of change things once they're already implemented, so if you have concerns, comments, or even "good idea" comments pertaining to certain aspects listed above (so we know what to weight decisions on), please post them here. They will be greatly appreciated.
Factions give SeeD and its members many more levels of presence, more opportunities for growth and activity, more opportunities for leadership, and a reason for members to remain even after leaving RS. These changes would solidify the factions and give them the necessary base on which to build within their games.
