I don't think it really needs to be closed, but I do think everyone needs to consider a wider perspective. Regardless of intentions, making jokes about something like someone's religion or even portraying a religious idea seriously through comic or "cartoony" methods may offend them, which we don't need to have happen. However, a good point is made that crucifixions (probably spelled that wrong, my spelling is innately terrible lately) are naturally gory and the movie did indeed portray it that way.

It's an interesting debate and I don't want to close it, so please just keep things from going too far either way.

I agree, crucfixtions are gory. i just think that the first "hollywood" movie about it should have been, more discretionary, and yet i feal it was right to portyar it that 'gory" way. so, again, i'm undisided

1. I'm not a turkey.

2. I didn't give anyone any "orders," I asked them to please stop with the bashing of religions and the quarreling.

3. Though this forum was my idea and it was created because of my idea, I don't own it any more than anyone else. The basic idea of what I said is that we're all on an equal level here, I shouldn't have to use moderator powers to settle things. Please, just work this out.

To get this back on topic, I thought that it did go a little over the top with the gore, but I also believe that it had to portray the events that happened. The overall movie was very good, but it did drag on a little too much in certain spots.
