No, since you said that if there were aliens billions of light years away from us, we would know of them with our technology, to which I replied that we would not, since our technology hardly allows us to investigate the planets in our own solar system.
On another note, I feel this debate is pointless since we clearly have a different opinion on what space is. But maybe we could clarify this?
So, how do you define "space"?

Mmm, ok, heres another question to debate on. If space is not infinite, and it says in the bible that god can hold it in the palm of his hand (if he really has hands

Just an interesting question, thought I'd bring that up.

A debate is an organized discussion of opinions with facts. If you're too stubborn to accept the real facts, get out of the debate. You don't want to learn, so just leave and stop before you fall even more behind.

So if it is impossible for us to travel all that distance, wouldn't that mean we can't know if there are aliens far far away from us?

Other planets:
we know about quite a few planets around other stars, we detect them by mesureing the gravitational wobble in stars, caused by planets orbeting them, as well as detecting the temporary dimming of stars as there planets pass in front of them (if the dimming ocurs on a regular shedule, planet, not random space rocks between here and there)
http://planetquest.jpl.nasa.gov/ for more info.
the universe is expanding,
http://archive.ncsa..../ExpandUni.html
that takes to long for me to explain, its generaly acepted as how the nivese is atm.
The closest star to us is Proxima Centauri, it is 4.2 light years away (about 5,865,696,000,000 miles), with no known planets around it.
as far as we understand physics, it is imposible for anything besides light to travel at the speed of light.
so, if there are aliens, they have to have mannaged to exede light speed to make traveling around even remotely useful (4 years between stars? it's almost totaly dark out there, and psychologists now dont know if humans could stand the 6 month trip to mars, so the aliens would have to be insanely patient) so lets imagine we have some super patient aliens, who can keep sane traveling for years in near total darkness. there's some hard math involved in the next bit, but basicly, the chances of them taking off from there planet, and ending up at ours is slim to none. (by axident) so say they somhow picked up our radio and telivision transmitions (we've had them for about 60-70 years, so 70 lightyears away will be our max distance for the aliens to be away from us) so, in about 70 years, IF they can travel at light speed, they can get here.
but wait, what about the aliens society. granted, they must be advanced if they can travel at lightspeed, but guess what, right now, we have all the technology and skill required to go to mars, and there are a lot of people wo want to go to mars, but we don't. why? because of politics. so you have to figure, even if there are aliens, and they figure out we are over here in our little corner of the universe, they may spend a couple hundred years argueing with eachotehr over who's going to pay to come see us.
anyway, i figure that there's a decent chance that there are inteligent alien life forms somwhere out there. but its a slim to none chance that they are so far advanced beyond us that they will be stoping by soon.
alien autopsy video.
i could make a black and white video with totaly alien looking things bleeding, with a budet of about 100$ and 30 minutes prep work. i won't, because it'd be gross, and mean to animals. holywood somtimes forgets that the best special efect is the one thats not fake.

I'm sorry, but this made no sense. Roswell isn't a base. The B2 Bomber didn't come from Roswell. The government tried saying it was an air balloon crash, and didn't want the public to think it was an UFO crash. Everything you said in that paragraph is wrong.
