In games like GTA it gives us the freedom to act like a criminal, Final Fantasy games, gives us the freedom to travel different continents and help save wherever, Lord of the Rings gives us freedom to live the film.
You just get the occasional idiot who tries to take the games freedom and live it.

Hey, let's not turn this into a flamefest.
Dhamon, don't even dignify that with a response, and you will surely avoid an argument that could ruin this debate for all of us.
Okay, checkpoint in the debate.
Agreed (for the most part) points:
-Games are too easy to buy now
-There needs to be more enforcement of M-rated game buying
-The parents have control, and therefore can be blamed
Points not agreed on:
-Do violent games cause violence in real life?
-Are you messed up before or after the game?
So let's focus on those, making out debate a little cleaner by removing the stuff that has come to a close.

Still, people might start arguing about what you said, so lets just avoid that, k?
What I was trying to say (might have come out wrong, it was just an example) is that some parents dont care what their kids are doing. Or they might care, but they might not care what game their kid got...
Also, some parents dont check their kids games...I know quite a few people who got bad games and their parents still dont know about it. And yeah Obi, I know about checking the games at the register, but like I said, some parents just dont care about their kids as much as others.

in tv there is the simpsons and family guy and those shows that can influence a person. the godfather made this kid get his dads tommy gun and actually went around shooting it. but no one was hurt.
internet has porn and much more freedom to say w.e u want and peopol send chain emails that force a kid to do something
music can make ppl commit suicide like Judas Priest was sued for subliminal messages that made a kid kill himself. some guy killed john lenon cuz he thot he was in impostor. dimebag darrel was shot to death just recently.
the only thing i heard about a crime that games caused was the sniper shooting but i think thats bs. they blame everything on games now a days...
theres also real life people who influence kids to do something like ppl making u smoke or try to get high. peer pressure.
it sickens me to see the government focusing on one type of media and not the major kind of media like the internet and movies especially
