Well, I hope you all have your fun, I guess you're not going to listen to me anyway.  But I still say this is wrong, you're basically telling people how to be annoying just like others have been, no offense to those who have done these things.  But all you're doing is 'training' people to be annoying and do the same things, which annoy others, and frankly I don't believe telling people how to avoid smods/gmods/admins/etc is good, whether the rules specificly mention it or not I believe it is wrong.  Xalibur, you know me, and you know when I believe something is wrong I stick with it, so have fun now, but it won't last forever.  No matter what others say, I just wanted to note that I believe this is wrong.

Now, clearly, all posts are messages, so it's only three categories that need to be considered. Now, a stupid message... something can be considered stupid or not stupid by the person viewing it. In this case, I'd consider this whole discussion 'stupid'. Pointless... That's clear. It basically means that there is no point in having the post or discussion, and that it shouldn't be there. I'd say this topic qualifies, even though that's just me, probably. Annoying... yeah.

they are stupid, true, but not exactly pointless (well, kinda). They arn't annoying because we keep them all in one topic that you can just choose not to view.

So technically, this isn't spam, its sm, which saves it from the insanity board.

No, it's sam in some people's views, but to me, it's sm. So this is excempt from the Insanity, and DAing it would be for no reason. I don't get why people think talking about spam is spam.

Mm hm... Well, about that, there are a few things to say.

I admit, for at least the first 6 months to a year, possibly even longer, I wasn't exactly the person I am now. You must remember - I was in SeeD back when posts in the Insanity Board added to your post count. And there were probably at least 500-1000 of those. But, well, I don't pride in my post count. I try to look at the present, and not just post messages for the purpose of, well, posting.

And, well, I still don't quite see your point.

They can choose to ignore the topic. No offense, but 15-20 'Enters/Passes/Leaves' is far more annoying than 'Hm....' (talking about the view new post thing).

Obviously, we aren't seeing eachothers points. I see how some people might think this is spam, but that's jsut there opinion. It might be stupid, and it is definitely a message, and I guess some people might think it's annoying, but if it annoys them they could just not look at it, but it isn't pointless. The point is to discuss spamming, and that is a point, so it is sam.

Yeah sephiroth, posting in DS is a great way to gain post counts. I gained a huge number in there, which not only raises your PC but also your stat points in the game. Works out pretty well, wouldn't you say?

I love this talking about spamming topic. And I agree...if people don't want to look at this 'spam' then they just shouldn't view the topic. Atleast 4 members are interested in it and in talking about ways to spam without spamming. So it's....SAFE!

And of course, we have not discussed spamming to it's fullest. Let us speak of some bad ways to spam instead of good. A bad way would be to revive many year old things.

1 bad way to spam would be what i did to the last one to post wins topic... i got 14 posts in a row. then another 14. that bad part of that is itgot the topic closed and it didn't raise my post count
