Yep that is definitely a bad way to raise your post count. I can say honestly that I have never had the pleasure of going on a spamming raid...but I have seen plenty of people who have.

Also, if you post for pointless things, like to tell people in DS you got a new item, that is pretty stupid....

Yeah, unless you are roleplaying you got a new item Like in Aderon Market you take it out and start showing it off But like something in the Void where it's OOC it's bad.

But also posting that you made a quest (like if you are a gm) is bad too.

Yeah that is pretty bad. I would hate it if the GM's started posting that they made a new quest every single time they....eh....made a new quest. It would take up too much room and would get quite annoying. Then we would have to fire them....and GM's are doing a pretty good job of keeping DS active.

Another bad way to raise post count.... (not that Cspace would ever do this...*cough cough*) is if you tell everyone the smallest little updates you did to the site...in seperate topics!

This topic is very close to being sent to the Insanity Board. You didn't listen to a mod's verbal warning of you guys to stop, you might want to listen to a Super Mod's verbal warning to stop. You can discuss things, but not sit and find ways to annoy the mods and get around the rules.

I wouldn't consider the topic spam, heh. It's a random discussion, like all other random discussions. Some topics are stupid.. but we like to discuss them anyways And DS is basically a game played off of your post count, so of course a player wants to get more posts to get more stat points.. but posting while playing the game appropriately isn't spam, you're just 'training' yourself inside the game. Spammy posts are usually picked out of a topic by common sense, lol.

Basically this is the forum for any light discussions or conversations that aren't exactly 'spam'. This isn't really spam. It doesn't really have a huge purpose, but it has an actual topic, and this forum is for topical randomness. Not spam like what is intended for the Insanity Board, but below the more serious image of General Discussion... And by no means should a debate here be compared to those in the Debate Forum. CZ is supposed to basically be a more relaxed GD, if I were to compare it to another forum.

If this were posted in GD or some other forum, yeah, a mod could move it. While it was close, it doesn't really cross the line into spam territory, and would be mostly fine in CZ where it was posted unless it becomes excessively redundant.

I think some members have high expectations for CZ, and may also overvalue one's post count a little bit. Relevance is independent of length... but spam is dependent on relevance. When a post lacks all relevance it is spam, and even if short or humorous, if it is an on-topic reply to a legitimate topic then it is often fine if not obsessive.

I know that some find these things annoying. I know that some find the GCW with the Star Wars characters and everything annoying. But that's one thing CZ is for. Anything potentially "annoying" that isn't technically spam, but that some members would enjoy. So it can be very easily ignored, one who doesn't want to see it doesn't even need to see the one-line topic name in the board index if he/she didn't want to, if even that is really annoying. I can understand some things being considered annoying, but sometimes it just seems a little obsessive when topics here and there annoy members as much as some tell me.

I'm sorry to say it, but if they're annoyed by it I wouldn't recommend that they come into CZ, because that's where all the "annoying" posts that aren't technically spam are supposed to be.

Not angry at anyone, lol, just think some are misinterpreting the purpose of this forum. Maybe I need to update the description to make it more obvious.

Yay! Now we can talk about spam some more! So, back to bad ways to raise your posts. I'd say a bad way would definitely be to post the same message whole lot and then say that your comp was being slow and you hit reply a whole lot and it made a whole lot of posts, which has happened to me, so I just deleted the excess posts. But like not deleting them.

'Nother bad way would be to, while playing Darkstorm, constantly go from one city to another, and then you would be getting all those posts from connection regions and stuff, but all you would be doing was traveling >.<
