My dad was called up Friday to drive a bus down to Gonzales LA to pull people out. When he got there, they told the whole brigade of buses to go to N.O. to pull people out. During the most violent time. When he got there, you won't believe this, people were demanding buses with air conditioners and meals en route. If they didn't get them? They flipped the bus. It happened to an estimated 5 of them. Thugs tipped buses shipped down there to help people, and they couldn't accept that. They wanted all or nothing. So he was sent back home without anybody. Because a few ruined it for the rest. I don't blame Bush.. I blame Blanco and the N.O. mayor..
N.O. shouldn't be rebuilt either. It happened with Betsy, and Camille. Katrina now, what's to stop future hurricanes?

i'm helping my church raise funds.
and Alpha, you must think about this:
the US trained terrorists to fight many years ago, and cut them loose.
then, the US somehow became hated by those same people that the US trained.
and the WTC were basically two among the tallest towers in NY, symbolizing the height of American strength.
you're telling me that NO ONE could have predicted an attack? even if people couldn't exactly pinpoint that the WTC would have been the targets, surely an attack itself would have been expected?

QUOTE
A hurricane didn't blow two planes into the world trade center, another into the pentagon, and a fourth into Sommerset County PA, WHERE I LIVE. There was no way in hell the founders of the New York, Washington DC, or William Penn had any idea that such things would or even could happen. The 9/11 attacks were acts of terrorism, the flooding of New Orleans was an act of poor city planning. The planners have been dead for over 200 years, so they can get out of their graves and insult me if they'd like to.

I am so darn sick and tired of you misquoting, misinturpriting, and extrapolating my ideas.

except maybe you didn't take time to think about my words. "no one" actually also covers the founders of New York, the White House staff, and William Penn. and mind you, those people are supposed to be the best and the brightest people in the country. thus what i am getting at is that yes, you told me that they couldn't have thought of it. but if they couldn't have thought of it, who could?
and sorry, i'm still firm on my interpretation of what you said.

Let me just state a little known fact. NEW ORLEANS
One of THE MOST dangerous cities in the US. You don't walk in the streets carrying a purse. Every house has bars on its windows. Killings happen every day.
It's like Baltimore for god's sake!
So the looting, killings, attacks. All normal. Just vamped by the fact that there are no people in their homes. And DON'T Blame it on Bush. I'm sick of hearing that crap. It's been going on since the 80's. So no more questions about that.

HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(

Why do people blame Bush for everything?
I mean, he's not in complete control of the government.
The state government is blaming the local & federal. The local blaming the state & federal. The federal is blaming the local & state. I blame them all for not working together or preparing well enough. Still, don't we need to actually try to fix the problem before finding someone to blame?
How does Moore know so much about it anyway?
Finally, it's sad when the destruction of a city is trivialized to be a political attack on Bush.
