That's neat how they finally photographed it alive and in it's natural environment. Bu there's still tons to learn about these mysterious creatures. ShiftyEyes_anim.gif

Giant squids have been proven to be around for years now.. they just normaly stay out in the deepest parts of the sea where we cant realy explore. Big things seem to like deep water.. i imagine somewhere out there theres something big nobodys ever seen or heard of before!

And i agree DONT LET PEOPLE HUNT IT they might be very rare.. if people kill it for show or even catch it for museums they are sick and care nothing for nature.

At least i hope there is sing.gif

yay for big weird animals and fish

eeek im blabbing
Now has a nice new shiny computer, now all i need is my mos back.

Yeah i saw this on the news, and I did a bit of research
Giant squids live in the deepest parts of the ocean. In our blood we have haemoglobins, (i think thats how you spell it.) Giant squid have something different. I forgot what it is called. the reason that they dont live higher up in the ocean is because they feel light headed and dizzy when the water pressure gets less, thanks to that chemical in the blood. That is why you dont see them. You only see their dead bodies. some whales eat the squid. They swallow it whole and coat it with their saliva. That is how they break it down, but they cant break down the bone so they spit it out. The bone/skull of the giant squid gets washed ashore. Another little intersting fact, the bone covered in the whales spit or whatever it is, is used as a base for most perfumes. eek7.gif Funny eh. I first found out this info on 7sunrise, those that live in aus will know what that is.

I had a look on the internet for info that would back this up and I found some sooooo as far as I know it's true thumb.gif
