I think you are right Rangers...
I have trademarked the symbol: '™'. You fail at display names.

a violin.

made of wood, dead and bound, which once was living and free
and now that it's made into an instrument, it "sings with glee."

If you put it that way it could be any instrument made out of wood...

true. it could be a mandolin, or a guitar. but i've always associated "singing" with the violin, so... to each his own.

The answer could be any wooden, stringed instrument (basically any string instrument), so Kaezion is correct.

That is a really hard one, i thought at first a a cloud cause well it's above the tree but then i thought no the others dont add up.
Then i thoguht stalagmites or stalacite thingies, in simple icicles. Well htye hang upside down, i thi9nk they are usually higher than trees, its backwards upside down sorta. It only grows when it is cold aka, winter and when spring comes along it melts n stuff, so it dies.

My guess would be Marriage, I don't have a whole lot of reasoning to back that up with though. It's mostly a hunch.

The marriage vows, binding two people together providing they remain true and faithful, till death do they part. grnwink.gif

And of course a link between two people is going to be a single-link chain.

Hey that must be right, but i wanna have a stab at it.
It's got something to do with marriage and weddings and stuff but maybe it's actually an item of some sort. The whole one link thing. Maybe its a chain with one link...... WAIT no at weddings poeple usually give each other rings! Is it a ring of sorts?

like there are 2 of them and they and there is only one link but when someone dies they sorta dont wea it or like take it to the grave so it's not sorta of any use anyways, that is my guess but maybe goto it right.

Riddle #62

The wise and knowledgeable man is sure of it.
Even the fool knows it.
The rich man wants it.
The greatest of heroes fears it.
Yet the lowliest of cowards would die for it.
What is this upon which I ponder?
