A Little Confession I have to make

Okay, so maybe I just wrote that title so you would click on this topic, sorry! I don't really have any confessions, confused yet? Well read on.

Now, onto the real topic. Methinks Cspacey should convert our cumulative post count into moneys. All in favour of this say 'aye'. Not just will this make all the older SeeDs happy, it will also reduce the need to spam. I repeat, all in favour of turning post count into moneys say 'aye'.

The problem with that would be it would give members w/ more posts an unfair advantage, because then people with 2000+ posts will have more points then those with 200, and the older SeeD with 200 posts (from '03 for example) won't hardly get any. Postcount is /not/ a way to determine age, no it is a way to determine how much they post, and you also can't determine activity by it either -- many login but don't post.

That is what it is anyway, post count gets you into veteran's lounge.

Well, here is some solutions to the problems that have been said (or haven't):

~ Maybe a ratio? Like 10 old post = 1 money?
~ If more objects are added, then it won't really be that significant for anyone under about 6000. Most people are around either -3000 or over +6000. For the +6000 group I'd say they should get the ratio, so they only get about 3000 anyway, this prevents them from bying everything instantly.

Older members with high post counts would be able to get practically anything they wanted form the shop. And if we raised the prices at the shop to accomodate the high post counts, then it would take very long for newer members to afford anything. So I'll have to go with a no, sorry. sad.gif

Did anyone read the post I made? Well I quoted it anyway. No, I don't think raising the prices is the solution, either lowering the amount of gil (that is what it is now) per post, so the older members wouldn't be able to buy everything, or making lots more items.
