I'll put it this way: it's totally possible, sounds fine. BUT. Nobody has any idea. Nobody has ever had actual proof of seeing ghosts or any kind of supernatural being (Assuming Loch Ness is a hoax

Also, this is what I know: Certain energies are emmitted by us, that create disturbances. That is what a poltergeist is. It's no ghost, it's just mixed up electrons and such. And Ghosts.. I believe that they are remnant energies or breaches in reality. I like Mitou's concept on the mind, seeing as psychology and studies of our mind reveal tons of flaws, that makes it so, such an energy might really only occur one time, and then repeat in the person's mind over and over again, seeming to replay itself. A further study of the mind may reveal that flaws are the reason some people see ghosts and some people don't. Some people's minds can interpret the energies better, that's why one person might see something, one might hear something, and one might not hear/see anything. Also, did you know that scientists discovered our minds are connected to some outer force?

I believe ghosts are our spirits that rose from our bodies when we died. Whenever you see a ghost you are seeing that person who is roaming around like he did when he was alive just now he is transparent and is sort of phased out of this deminision (like you guys said) and his/her personality reflects the person who he/she used to be. Ex. if the person was mean the ghost will be mean and do bad stuff and vice/versa.

Another thing for something Leftyy said earlier (methinks it was you), you said something about alternate dimensions. Indeed, it has been proven by science that there are alternate dimension, and here is how they found it out: A man was experiementing with a laser beam trying to shine it through a pattern of slits. When he did so, he expected the laser to simply be blocked by some slits, and come out where the slits were, thus letting the laser light through. This, however was not the case. The laser in every trial run was somehow affected by some unknown force causing the beams to actually shift in a particular direction. This was theorized to be another parallel dimension that is in reach of our current dimension, but cannot be seen, per se. This dimension, however has enough energy and gravity to affect the laser the way it did in this experiment to cause the beams to shift from where they should be to where the resulted. (Sorry if I did not convey the experiment in its entirety, it was quite a complicated experiment. I wish I had the scientist who did it, but I cannot remember his name)

We always have a "ghost." it is like a shadow, and kinda like that parallel dimension. that's where our "ghosts" are. when we die our energy has nowhere to go, so it seeks out our "spiritual DNA." It finds our "ghost," and enters it. this allows the ghost to breach the ethereal curtain into our world. really, it's just our "shadow."
(P.S. like in the book "the fifth dawn" like when glissa's spark has nowhere to go but slobad)

A few hundred years ago (I think) some scientists wanted to prove the existance of a soul. They got a person who was dying and but them on a scale. At the exact time the person's heart stop beating, the scale moved (I think it was about 0.2 kg less, not sure).
Considering that the amount of matter in the universe is constant, doesn't that mean that the lost mass (the 'soul') must be somewhere in the universe?
