During my daily surfing (on the Net), I came across a poll on GameFAQs.

QUOTE(GameFAQs)
Have you ever gotten in any trouble for sharing copyrighted files online?
> Yes, I got sued by a record/movie/game company!
> Yes, I got a letter from a lawyer about it
> Yes. I got an e-mail from my ISP
> No, I haven't been caught yet
> No, I've never shared anything illegally

Now seeing that I haven't gotten into any trouble with piracy, I chose the fourth option. Then came the results.

Yes, I got sued by a record/movie/game company! - 1.39%
Yes, I got a letter from a lawyer about it - 0.46%
Yes. I got an e-mail from my ISP - 1.54%
No, I haven't been caught yet - 60.24%
No, I've never shared anything illegally - 36.37%

Now it's nothing surprising, so many people pirate things that company obviously cannot chase down every single one. Although I am rather amazed at the large portion of 'criminals' that are running wild and free (including myself).

I haven't been caught yet, and I have a 200gB HDD with 100gB of pirated software/movies/games/music, plus the Cat 5 running to my neighbours network, which contains an external network HDD with 100gB of pirated movies.

And I was just setting up some Family Guy torrents, until mum chucked a spaz...

I'd say if you were to ask how many kids under 18 have visited pr0n sites, you'd get about 99% or so. I can do it legally now, though. bluetongue.gif

i don't pirate. Mainly just because i don't have the time mostly to do it. and if i did, i still wouldn't do it, because my little voice inside my head would badger me allllll night long, and haunt me untill i delete it off my PC. so i dont pirate.

I do it occasionally, but never for profit. Funny how many people don't get caught. I know someone who did, he lost his computer etc. etc. But he is uberrich so I don't really pity him. bluetongue.gif
I have trademarked the symbol: '™'. You fail at display names.

^ Thanks to Nazy for the... thingy ^

Things which you should look at:

SKoA - http://skoa.cspacezone.com/ , if you have any Age of Empires games.

The DS Garden Festival Minigame - Link , whether you play DStorm or not.

The Most Mysterious SSSS - Link For people who don't care about...things.

Like LEGO? Play Blockland!

I may be an Arbiter, but I'll always be a SeeDy little man.™™

The US Federal Government won't take any sort of action against you unless you have atleast 500 downloads and uploads combined, so be careful when you share those files not knowing it. Also, each company logs every single download and the IP of it and sends it in to the FBI just so you know, so they do know you are doing it and how much.

Just thought I'd let you know grnwink.gif
