The update was implemented to motivate people to post, not to give people with more posts sudden access to even more things. What's the point of being able to have a glowy name if you didn't actually have to work on it, and you just got it from the five hundred posts you made last month when you were spamming with your spamming rival? I don't get why you'd want to take even more of the fun from posting. Some people like the update because it gives them rewards if they post more, so what's the point if they get rewards for what they've already posted?

I find it really ironic that almost exclusively it's the people with really high post counts saying no to this idea.

So I'll follow the trend and say that I don't think it will work well. Even with some sort of ratio as Nuu was suggesting, you're still giving older members an advantage. That really wasn't the point of the system, it was an incentive to post more now, and just an amusing little something to have on the forums.


Why do you need a reward for posting a lot earlier anyway? Gil really isn't worth going to any trouble for, the point of posting is and always should be to enjoy yourself, to interact with others and that kind of thing.

Like all the others said, it would be unfair. What you're saying is that particular members with high post counts could buy practically everything in the shop, and members with low post counts will barely afford anything.
