Gmail, various RSS feeds, and the sites I visit daily. All I have to do is middle-click everything I want to see (middle-click opens a new tab in Firefox, if you didn't know), then close Google Start Page. Works nicely.

I've always used www.msn.com as default, and sometimes I'll see random interesting news stories on the front page. Maybe I should consider finding a new one though, the one Phieta said looks like a good one.
