The Fourth Calamity came, the fourth day of the Thirteen Catastrophes.

The horrible trees from the previous day had ceased to bleed, but they remained hideously contorted, and the whole city was found to be covered in a dense, white fog so thick people wandered around lost if they ventured out into the streets. The few who did did not return. Screeches of pain rang out through the city, for apparently those who left their homes died. At first it was supposed that they simply stumbled and fell on sharp objects of some sort. That was until one woman's husband ventured out, immediately let out an agonized scream and slumped against the door with a thud. When she opened the door and dragged her husband in, she found him to be terribly mutilated by some strange creature that lurked in the mist.
