it seems like most girls in school except for certain ones that know nothing about this site stay away from me and my friends...

we are all crazy crazy.gif thats why...

but guys also have their fragile parts too... in the past year its been stepped on twice, hit with a cane accidentally once, and kicked from lightly-hard i don't know how many times...

i gotta tell you... that really hurts sad.gif

if you're wondering why "it" was stepped on, my friends and i were playing this game that involved acting like turkeys and i was knocked onto the ground, then the most immature person i know came up and slowly put pressure from his foot on it _sure.gif

the second time, my friend and i were just playing around and were trying to do i trick involving him jumping over me... he missed the jump and kinda had to walk/run and his foot ladned hard in the wrong place... somehow, he found it funny. sad.gif

the cane incedent... i was walking behind someone who was swinging a cane back and forth during musical theatre and it came back farther than i expected and i just kept walking and it...hit... me... the person who hit me with the cane, who is ussually a jerk, apollogized for it bluetongue.gif

being kicked was just by accident...

QUOTE(Darkdream @ May 11 2006, 03:00 AM) {lang:macro__view_post}

I agree with Rat as well....it depends on who does what to who.

And I'm female, but have mostly male friends.....so that reinforces my view. And as an example: I'm quite affectionate towards one friend in particular (and he knows who he is, as well as the rest of the 'group'), but that doesn't mean I want to date him and/or vice versa, it just means that we're very good friends.

And since I'm starting to ramble now, I'll stop whilst I still make sense grnwink.gif

I agree with you, Darkie.

Depends. Many minor things can create unwanted bias. It's weird, but I don't like hanging around black people. It's not like I'm racist, and I don't want to not like hanging around, but it's in my mind, so I dunno.
HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(

I have to say yes because I attend public school, and sexual bias is a part of everyday like.

For instance, we have one male cheerleader, one male Color Guard member, and one male flutist. They are constantly ridiculed for the way they are. The Cheerleader told me "People pick on me, but I have 15 pretty girls all over me at practice, and we talk all the time, and I get to look at them constantly wothout a second thought. I'm not stupid." The Color Guard member and the flutist (with whom I am friends with) really don't care what people think.

I do think bias is in everyone's mind at some point, but it needs to be dealt with in another manner than discussing it with other people. Bias and gossip are two different things.

KaiserMike: Valerie, this is the part where you disagree and say “No you’re not!”

Females HATE male cheerleaders. Because they are such an oddity, everyone focuses on the male cheerleader instead of the rest of the group.

Not really, now I do admit, they are "focused on" more than female cheerleaders for being an oddity, but females don't HATE male cheerleaders. On the contrary, actually. I can't see the reason that male cheerleaders would even be disliked in my opinion. The one I am speaking of personally is a very sweet guy.

But I have to disagree, Alpha, on one point, females don't hate male cheerleaders. We have no reason to, and we don't, but there are always exceptions to the rule. We don't hate them because they're different. If we did hate one in particular, it would be for reasons such as "he's her ex, they got in a disagreement, etc."Not for the fact that they're different.

I said that which I have heard from several highly competetive cheerleaders. Obviously, not all girls hate guy cheerleaders, it's just that these girls in particular were very envoius of the attention their male counterparts were receiving, especially at the competitions. Now, normally I put little PC disclaimers in here and there, but I got lazy this time. I should have said. "These females I know HATE male cheerleaders."
