Communism in theory, is great, but it doesn't work in practice sad.gif
...It has worked in practice for over 2000 years.
(and this is mostly addressed to Americans btw, but has something in it for every one I believe).
Summing up comunism, it is a system of governement in which the land (or at least the productive land, such as agricultural or industrial.) is not for the large part owned by citezens, but rather, by the government. In communism every one is employed through this and the entire state, province or country is like one big buisness. Party leaders are top dogs, going down to the administrative level are the govners and mayors and what not, and then the average worker.
In a place like china, you may live on land but it is your privillage and not your right. And for said prib\vvilage you live on that land according to what has been set down for you. You can argue and disagree with it all you like...but you still have to do what you are told.
comunism is like to a b2c buisness model where as democracy is more like a reverse aution system for buisness.
One fith of the worlds population resides in china, and another fith in like states of government. Collectively such systems of government are consumers of half the worlds resources and are the most financialy productive regions in the world.
For the lack of some personal freedoms and many rights Americans and some other countries would consider to be inalienable, they have more stability, more productiveness, and less crime then we(addressing those in a democracy) do.
I prefer my freedome personaly...but freedome also brings sloth along with it, the more a government is particapary, it seems, the more lazy and ignorant they are considered and shown to be. Were I under such a system of governement, I would be a much more productive person, then I am. I would not have the luxury of being lazy most of the time. And I would have purpose beyond my own wants and needs...yet I would not have freedome to do as I wished either.
Freedome is both a blessing and a curse. It lets us achieve more on a personal level but it also cuases to achieve less on a national level. communism makes a nation a a whole soar, but the individual is limited in what they can expect to achieve with their life. these two contrasting sysytems of governent, both have their weaknesses and their strengths. niether should be condemed or elevated above the other as neither of them are so great that they do not fail in something, in my opinion.
You can say that it does not work, or that it is wrong all you like but that does not make it true. If you want to keep it in perspective, know that democracy as a working body is a newer form of goverment (it was though, present in the ancient world) that has always failed in the past. That is becuase of it having short sighted goals (individual states having their own way as long as it does not over ride the way of central government as a rule). Where as, Communism, has a long term goal of equal distribution of wealth and authority with no central government.
In all realism forms of socialist governments are older and better time tested then democracies or participary ways of government. They will be around longer as well, unless democracy learns to temper freedome for the individual with prosperity for the state. Though I am an American through and through I think that our initial goal for this country is lost in competing with the rest of the world and taking what we have for a granted far to much. Our system of government needs massive reforms to continue on much longer. We take freedome as a granted and do not give enough sence of duty and obligation to the freedom providing country in return.
There are less registered voters then ever before... why do we have the right to complain about our leaders if half of us are not involved in the process of electing them?
We criticise our own establishments for un-due wars and inccurtions, and then atatck the methodes in which they are conducted yet most of those doing the talking on that have never served our country in this capacity and would not have the right to say such things if we did not have our military. how can we jump on them about what they are doing and how when we do not participate in the politics of things enough in the first place?
We have fast become a nation that is patriotic enough to call people on their wrongs but not enough to do anything about it. As Americans it is not only our right but our duty according to the ways set down by the fore fathers of this nation to question authority and act where it is found to be flawed... we only fill the first half of this...all bark and no bite.

That was a waste of words. I can easily sum this up in a few sentences.
You say that communism is an ideal business practice because it's straightforward (I'm getting a mixed message, so correct me if I'm wrong). I'd like to state that communism is by far the WORST business model to fall under. There's no cash flow from within the economy, since the government owns everything anyway. China doesn't even have a true communism because they allow for private business and such. It won't work, can't work, and I want a cookie. Good night.
HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(

another reason the soviets fell is bcuz gorbachev had so many reforms that it srewed em over.
and another thing...only reason i beleive america had beef wit the soviets is cause we were scared of them....look at all the signs...
1)senator joseph mcarthy and the mcarthy hearings
2)mcarthyism(yes we even created a word for the fear of communism)
3)the cuban missile crisis.(i can understand this cause we almost bit the nuclear bullet)
and im not saying i support communism or ne thing but i can truly say america was afraid of the soviets.
and heck we spent trillions of dollars protecting ourselves from them during the cold war.

...

So we, like Google and Wikipedia, were banned from China.

Wish I were joking, but I'm not

A friend who I know that went on vacation to China verified it.

So, heh, that's pretty much it. Think of it what you will, this is not politically motivated, but it's kinda funny how an entire country banned us.

Guess we're too crazy for them...
Y would an entire country ban cspacezone? So a friend who went to China verified it. that doesn't mean China has to ban cspacezone, but o well. guess we have to get used 2 it.

The Chinese government is known as a single party government, meaning that there is no other governmental parties there to say, "Hey, that new law the government made is really stupid.", or in other words, oppose how they rule China. If someone does defy the government, they mysteriously disappear.

i have to wonder if that would actually work if we somehow got equipment and training for each and every1 of us... although china has the largest total population and ground troops in the entire world :/
