well, first time we here of one of our members mysteriously dissapearing, do we waant to invade china with the some 11000 or 12000 members that we have?

i have to wonder if that would actually work if we somehow got equipment and training for each and every1 of us... although china has the largest total population and ground troops in the entire world :/

I'm sure Spacey would think of something. bluetongue.gif

It's actually true that each internet company, in China, can choose what websites are banned. It may be that perticular host banned us, or there may be people who have an internet that can access any site, andor a proxy as Goto suggested. You see just because China bans something doesn't mean every single internet provider bans it, for example if I went to China I -could- access Cspacezone, how you ask? Well very simple if I can a wireless satelite remote access (or whatever it is called) I am directly bypassing any blocks set by China, or any other internet provider, because I am directly accessing a remote satelite. Expensive? Yes, but effective, and for those who aren't that rich you could do proxies and such. However, in my oppinion, we may -not- be banned from 'China' but rather a 'Internet Provider in China' yah know?

Oh, and try marketing Curvedspace t-shirts and coffee mugs. bluetongue.gif

I still want my "Yeah, we're banned in China" bumper sticker.

And a mod-exclusive "Proud to be an Elitist" t-shirt.

He's dead on about this one. One pure simple reason for this. They dont control the packets that you are sending out. Thanks to good old do it yourselfers like Kimo. But geez, Kimo, cant you think of a more cost effective way of doing this, besides rigging up some kind of wireless satellite that access a satellite out in space to access Cspace?

Well proxies -might- work but I still say the satellite is the best idea, eh, however I do suppose you could get a wireless computer and a WAP made out of tinfoil and point it to a satellite, although you'd need the password but...>> <<

omg....i'm sorry i'm posting at a relatively old topic but i was searching for this topic cause i saw somewhere else on seed that we got banned by the Red Chinese. Its Hilariously stupid of them to ban us. Why did they truly ban us? The chinese communism is crumbling, they have a new generation of upcoming leaders that are reformists, ones who actually like capitalism, so in a couple generations in china, their communism will be gone.

Well, if we weren't banned before, we will be now because of that comment. bluetongue.gif
