I decided to make a thread to keep note of the big three: piano, school, and fitness. Its just going to be a log of what I've done, and when I did it earlier in paper, it helped me keep with it.

So, today.

Fitness: Did 7 Bodyweight Exercises, 10 reps, 3 sets. I was planning to do Hindu Pushups and maybe Hindu Squats, but still felt the pain from yesterday. I started this stuff about 10 days ago, and I feel a lot better, because of better diet and more exercise in general. I asked my friend, who's a third-degree black belt and has a Bruce Lee figure, what he does to workout, and he told me he does this stuff, so I'm trying it out too.

Ate pretty well: Oatmeal for breakfast, Turkey sandwiches for lunch, came home, had 2 eggs, 2 glasses of milk, and handful of mini-Teddy Grahams. Tablespoon of peanut butter, and then some Indian food- rice and chicken.

School: Did my homework, and even got through the work of the English teacher who gives us 5 projects/month. Not small ones, big ones.

Piano: Practiced my current song, played Moonlight Sonata, and did some finger exercises

Other: Watched Lost- what a crappy season premiere.

And now we have the quote of the day, from greenl2l: PLONGED!!!

We call those "hump-ups" in America.

It'd help (And be really cool) if you kept a photo log of your progress. Be it here or personal. Like.. Something to give you a Before, After before, before after, and after.

And an audio log of your piano playing.
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

Just because I play piano myself, who composed Moonlight Sonata? I think I may have played it before... or maybe it was called Midnight Sonata... *goes to find old music*

KaiserMike: Valerie, this is the part where you disagree and say “No you’re not!”

Beethoven. It has three movements, the first being the most famous and easiest to pick up.

Everyone else: Hindu Pushups are a lot different than normal pushups, less commonly known as Liederman pushups. Hindu Pushups were used by yogis in India and the like, and still are used, because they increase flexibility and strength like no other. They're not 'butt-ups', or really sloppy formed Liedermans, nor are they Divebombers, where you bend the elbow on the way back up. And definitely not hump-ups. bluetongue.gif

Vasshu Za Sutanpiido: Your name is so utterly confusing, and I don't know where its from. I'll call you Kaiser, k? Err... photo blog would be cool. I'll try it on here, every week or so a pic of my progress, with my head blacked out, of course. It'll be embarrasing, but there must be someone more out of shape on here. Audio log... I could, it would be tedious though. I don't know how to get it on the boards either.

Today- Ate Healthily, but at the wrong times. Not nearly enough protein, and didn't eat well for pre-post workout.

Exercises: 3 sets 10 reps of the 6 core exercises, and 1 set 10 reps of the other one, which is kinda like a pullup. I made my body go in max tension on that one, so I couldn't do more than one set. I also set a personal record of Hindu Pushups- 20. Thats pretty good considering I maxed out at 6 my first time.

School: Finished reading 'To Kill A Mockingbird'. Not too much hw today, I have to finish up some math and I'm done.

Piano: Lesson today, went pretty well. Worked on Moonlight Sonata and this other one called 'Nocturne'.

Update: Fitness/Diet: Off day. I take these once a week, so that I avoid burnout. I played around a bit with my brother, and allowed myself to indulge in 2 Eggo Waffles and 4 Dibs.

Piano: Haven't done yet.

Academic: Its a Friday..... I'm going to work on the idea I had in my thread in GD.

Hindu pushups remind me of my finishing stretch position before and after running -- though we call it sex with the ground. I get disturbed when kids start looking for antholes, though.
