Miraculously, it not only hits the vampire, but drives straight into its heart! But don't worry, it had nothing to do with any 'skill' you might have. The vampire falls to the ground, finally dead. The final ghoul attacks once more.

The ghoul dies.
As you speak the words, the black robed man waves his hand, and the creatures seem to turn to black mist which floats harmlessly away. He raises the black dagger and points it at you, and you fall to the ground, enveloped in pain.
A blinding white light fills your eyes for what seems like the space of hours, but was likely only seconds. The pain disappears, and when you are once again able to see, the man in black is gone, but the man and the column remain. You doubt this man did that.

OoC: The first post you made was quite poetic Darkness, did you nick it from somewhere?

I have trademarked the symbol: '™'. You fail at display names.

OOC: What do you mean -- the whole post, or just what the monsters were saying...?
The man falls to the ground with the chains, but his hands come out before him and stop his fall. His body is immediately wracked with coughing, the force of it sending flecks of blood to his lips. After several moments of this, he gets to his feet on shaky legs. Energy seems to be quickly returning to him.
"I thank you for your help, mortal, but we must not let him escape. Tell me quickly of everything you saw of these ruins up to the point where you released me from my chains."
You can tell he does not mean 'mortal' in a condescending way, and you wonder if he even meant it as if he was not also a mortal. You know that he merely said it to state the fact and give you your proper title. Either this man was not a mortal, or for much of his life he had dealt with those who are not among mortals.

Primarily the latter, but the former to some extent too.

OOC: As for what the creatures said, I used something from somewhere else as a rough base, and then wrote what you actually see. As for the rest of the post, no, I wrote it all
Oh, btw, your post was so descriptive of what happened, Fersk XD [/sarcasm]
The man rubs his chin for a moment in thought, then says to himself, "He is below..." He then turns to you and speaks. "I thank you for your help, mortal, but I would not forsake any man if he does not want to continue on. What lies ahead on my path could possibly lead to my death, along with any who travels with me. If you feel that you wish to come with me, I will not take responsibility for your death, but know that I would do all in my power to keep you alive."

OOC: I love your use of quotation marks
Upon your acceptance, the man pointed his hand at the black stone he had been chained to and then swung his arm down. The stone ground itself into the earth, breaking through the ground and leaving a hole the size of a desk. The man released the stone and after a moment, the sound of it hitting the ground was heard. Walking to the edge of the hole, the man jumped down. Apparently, this courtyard was the ceiling of a room below.
