Nice, extensive "productivity" course. Free too, at least Simpleology 101. The other two cost money, but a google for Simpleology 101 shows that it has only raving fans.

I just started, so I'll tell you how it goes later.

Cool, I started the first lesson. Neato body hack given right away. Here's part of the lesson.

QUOTE
Rule: chew every bite of food 30 times before swallowing.

Silly, right?

No.

Actually more profoundly life-changing than you can possibly imagine.

On this surface, this may sound like it wouldn't do much, but we're now discovering how many ways this practice unleashes our hidden energy.

For example ...

*

Digestion starts in the mouth. If we skip that process, we only get a fraction of the nutritional value of our food.

Next ...

*

Gulping down partially chewed food puts tremendous stress on our digestion and saps us of our vital energy via several pathways.

And it gets worse, but hold up for a second.

The next one is about water, dismissing the "8 glasses a day" myth and giving the truth.

Really cool!

I'm sorry to say, but that is wrong. The only way the mouth could lessen the amount of nuitritional value one gets from their food is if the food had a casing that could not be broken down by stomach juices. A whole egg, for example. Even so, wouldn't the effort of chewing excessively be a bit of a energy drain?

By the way, did it finish there or did it tell us what the 'several pathways' were?

Nah, it kept going. I'm not too sure about the chewing one, but the water tip was enough to keep me awake in history. That's saying something....

Perhaps you should not attribute your staying awake in history to the water trick thing, since there could have been many variables that kept you awake bluetongue.gif

I don't care. I definitely know that I wasn't drinking enough water, and the advice definitely helped.

What exactly was the water tip?

Drink some water every hour of waking. I haven't been able to be that strict, but its definitely made me feel better when I thought I had some sickness.

Normally people are in a constant state of dehydration so that seems true enough.

Hey actually that chewing thing is legit, your spit contains vital enzymes that break down your food the right way. If you only half chew then your stomach and its enzymes and juices have to do the rest (but because of what we eat we don't have enough enzymes anyways so every little chew helps) Anyways, if your food does not break down properly the food will set there and ferment causing heartburn, indigestion, gas and bloating and the list goes on and on....so then it "moves on" in the state its not supposed to be in so the stuff sticks to the little finger things (called filli or villi or something..) and those are the things that absorb nutrients from the broken down food and if those are caked with all that stuff that is a whooollle other subject, lol
but yeah....just something I know. o_O

The water thing is right too.....I *try* to drink half my body weight in oz. each day....I find its very hard to drink water at times....stupid pop (soda, whatever). XD
