So, basically, we'd be springing a BusH from a SeeD?

Thefreedictionary (which I only use because it has a Firefox plug in) defines it as:
n.
A company or group, especially of touring actors, singers, or dancers.
Note 'especially'. It could, in essence, be used accurately in this instance, but maybe fellowship would be better.
Aside from that, those two sound the best out of my suggestions, in my opinion.

Oh, and does it really matter? Doesn't the faction leader choose the title anyway? For example, our AoE faction is a knighthood and our Blockland one is a Company. I don't think it overly important.

CurvedSpace - The site and forums as a whole
The Arbiter's Order - Our "game factions" as a whole
SeeD - Undecided
And then the names of each game faction is undecided, too, right? Anyways, my suggestion for the 'SeeD' name is to give it to the RuneScape faction. That where it was mostly used, and when we started moving into other games we merged with CurvedSpace, thus calling ourselves (as a whole) CurvedSpace instead). So if we're really getting down to the wire here on names, maybe we should just call the RuneScape faction 'SeeD'?
----
As for the Arbiter's Order thing, would that open up new things, like global gaming positions, then positions specific to certain game factions? For example, under the profile there's stuff like 'SeeD Jobs' and 'SeeD Position'. Would that become 'Order Jobs' and 'Order Position'?

Anyway, the name we choose (if we choose one) probably shouldn't imply a size. A small faction/council/thing would be awkward if called a legion, while a massive faction/council/thing probably wouldn't want to be known as a club. That's why I would probably lean toward more generalized names such as faction or division (not council, that's usually smaller). Fellowship is a cool name, but it has various interpretations and I'm afraid would imply a smaller group, at least in a fantasy setting. Some games implement fellowships as small groups of characters that share certain buffs and stuff (like in Vanguard), but in that context it's almost always considered lesser when compared to a guild.
However, it's a great name to use with a faction/council/thing's actual name. I'm just not sure that it should apply to all of them.
I'd lean toward Division simply because it requires no definition. A Division really would be a division of our guild, no one's going to ask what we're talking about when we bring up the term. "Faction" is a little unusual, and other things with a tangible feel like Fellowship or Company may conflict with a faction/council/thing's name.
Then when referring to a faction/council/thing (maybe we could call them that

Who's in favor of Division or a similar term, just to make our guild easier to describe and nothing more?
CurvedSpace - The site and forums as a whole
The Arbiter's Order - Our "game factions" as a whole
SeeD - Undecided
CurvedSpace - The site
Arbiters - Our guild
SeeD - A currently undetermined extension of the Arbiters, not a standalone entity.
Actually that's part of the reason for the change, so they don't have to call themselves the "RS Faction" anymore.

Yep, but probably "Arbiter Jobs" instead (or some other equivalent).
There will be more inter-faction positions after the change as well.

That's what I meant.

Actually that's part of the reason for the change, so they don't have to call themselves the "RS Faction" anymore.

I meant that instead of calling it the RS Faction, just call it SeeD.

Indeed, so they have their old name back.

And, yes, some people wouldn't join because they'll hear "Arbiter" and think "HALO 2." But that might not be a bad thing, if they're the type of people who don't even look of an assumtion of something like a name.

I like this idea. It wouldn't be hard for people to figure it out. It's easier than thinking of a sweeping name that will fit all games of all sizes.

My pick of the new name for Factions would probably be Division, for the reasons that Spacey listed a few posts back. It's independent of size, and it doesn't have military references like some of the other suggestions did. Factions/Divisions/whatever have their own name and can refer to themselves as they want, but for the sake of simplicity and being able to explain our structure to others we need a generalized word to refer to them. For example our GW division the Defenders of Aderon would probably still call itself a guild, because that's what they're called in-game and there's less confusion that way.
Oh, and the thought of each person being able to refer to themselves as an Arbiter is pretty cool, hehe.

I'm glad the RS Faction is being called SeeD again heh, thats still the best name in my opinion

Arbiter's Order still sounds great for the guild. Sounds a lot more together and less complicated!
And divisions is still my first choice.
