How long is a piece of thread? How long is a significant piece of thread?
So many questions, so few answers...*sigh*
It is as if I am a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me...I just get worried I might drown or something you see, and if you don't wear goggles while swimming in the great ocean of truth your eyes get all stingy you see. And there are all those big truth-jellyfish and truth-bluebottles and things. On the whole, the great ocean of truth seems to be full of things which sting and bite and try to eat you. Quite undesirable indeed. Stupid Newton.
It is early morning. I am allowed to ramble on about nothing in particular. Don't you threaten me with sticks and things, you! I'm going to bed now! To sleep! Perchance, to dream! Aye, there's the rub. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil? Probably just the usual bull...
A thread is as long as the person who cut it wished for it to be.
And you seem to be mistaking the ocean of truth for a whole realm of evil, while it is much like a grocery store - some very good things, as well as some icky stuff. One learns to avoid the icky stuff, thus adding to the ocean of truth. ;D
