This is a really neat program, and it looks like it's prolly really easy to learn.. I'll check it out sometime, hehe. Although I'm not sure if this would really truly work as a faction, since there is no in-game player interaction..and since there is none, recruiting from it would be a little..hard If we did make this into a faction, we would end up making photoshop factions, and the like, heh. I think this would probably be better off in the creativity and submissions forum. But I dunno, we could see what Stuffy or Cspace thinks, since I have crazy views on things

Factions are technically supposed to be gaming clans and guilds, as opposed to just any group with a common interest. More self-sufficient, a means to potentially recruit in its own medium, and longer lasting. We've had groups similar to this suggestion in the past, and they're active and great for a while, but often just die silently when the 'cool' factor goes away.

I'm not saying that this isn't a good idea... just maybe something can be done other than a faction. If we create a faction for something like this, we'd have to make one for any group with a common interest and five members. If that starts happening it will hinder with the actual purpose of factions and the intended interaction, since factions of this type wouldn't really fit in in the same way.

This is something that can be discussed, but similar specific things in the past which seemed great at first quickly became inactive, and in a way became dead weight because everyone lost interest.

Perhaps instead, something can be done in the creativity forum? Perhaps a series of contests? Maybe an unofficial association of sorts, like in the past when members created 'sig banners' and everything? May work better for the community as a whole.

Not a bad idea, but can we post competitions in the creativity forum or do they all have to be in event/contest forum?

They can be posted anywhere if they're applicable in their forum, but a contest will probably be more widely known if placed in the event forum.

I have a suggestion. How about a hosted forum? Like Xalibur's Easytoon Forum. I think that would suit this more than a faction.

Well, this sort of hosted forum most likely would go down the same path due to lost interest.. Since it's such a specific category, the forum would be nice at first, but as Cspace said, would die after awhile, eh. I'd go along with Cspace's suggestion, since you can easily set up discussions in the creativity forum, and could get more members interested in the program, since it is pretty neat. Contests in the event forum also sound great
