Anagrams etc. (like the description): 1 point
Common codes (a=1 etc.): 2 points
Uncommon/complicated codes: 3-5+ points (depending on difficulty)
Combination codes: 5+ points (depending on difficulty)

10 points = Nuu's number of posts in topic so far (in gil) granted automatically

Note: Punctuation is never () coded.

Yes. Yes it is. Especially when (A) you've never heard of it and (B) while trying to solve it via another method, you don't know that "nonary" is a word.

After some playing around in notepad i think it works like this:

So, letters i-p are shifted once along the line; q-x are shifted twice; y and z are shifted three times. Its actually quite a clever code

Would have been much more painful if the breaks were after every 4th (Well, less than every 9th.) letter.

Sorry it took me so long to post, I couldn't think of a new code yesterday, but I managed to come up with one last night (at the loss of half an hour of sleep). Yeah, Phieta got it first, good job to both of you.

You went at it the wrong way, though, Bigrat, there is an easier explanation. It was coded a=1 b=2 etc., but not in the decimal number system (numerals 0-9). Instead I encoded it in the nonary number system (0-8), like binary but with 9.
