I was just looking through the forums and I saw stuff about auras. I have heard of auras before, they are like invisible shrouds that hang around you and reflect your personality, but is that the aura you are talking about? Please explain.

The "aura" that most people are talking about is a skill in Darkstorm, I believe. However, I really don't know anything about personal auras at all, so I won't comment, lol bluetongue.gif

i'd advise that you keep a skeptical view on this phenomenon, however.

Always be skeptical, look for ordinary explanations before jumping to cocclusions

Aura is basically "Vibe". Have you ever been around a person and gotten nervous because of them? Perhaps the way they appear, sound, address themselves, whatever else, gives off a certain "Aura".

For example. If a person dressed in all black, wore pentagram symbols with a shirt that read "665+1" on it, you may get a feeling of uneasyness. That being the aura of negativity that they generate for appearing how they do. (The person could in fact be nice, but they way they present themselves reflects an aura.)

Or being near a bully in school. If you know he/she is prone to doing bad things, they may give off a negative aura to other people, merely by actions.

I for one believe the best explination behind "Aura" is very small, but rather difficult to believe.

As each person is made of atoms, some peoples atoms/electrons may be charged with a higher voltage. People nearby are affected on a molecular scale. Their atoms picking up the electrons of others who are more charged. Therefore, while not touching anyone, a person (Whos electrons hold more of a charge) may be 'felt' by those around him.

Ff, please don't revive old topics. If you want to talk about a subject that already has a thread, make a new thread with a link to the old one.

What we call our 'aura' is an electromagnetic field. This field is present on the surface of the body, generally extending out from the surface of the skin for several inches.

Each person's aura is different, both in size and colour. Everyone's aura has each of the varying colours of the visible spectrum (as well as black and white), although most people's auras are comprised mostly of a single colour. For instance, a relative of mine has an extrememly strong green aura, to the point where none of the other colours are visible. The same goes for my own aura, except mine appears completely white.

However, moods and health can, to a certain extent, affect auras. For instance, a person who is sick may find that black becomes more prominent in their aura. The same goes for mood, but to a much lesser extent (a difference in aura due entirely to mood would, except in dire circumstances, not be visible).

But of course, you have to not be a sceptic to accept that grnwink.gif

Woah, oh Hell. My bad. I didn't read his post dates, as the conversation looked like it was constantly active. Sorry, I didn't realize.

Actually there's not really anything wrong with reviving a topic to discuss it further or add something, as long as it's not something that is completely irrelevant with time (birthday topic, event, etc.). In many ways it's much better just to revive the topic and continue discussion than creating a new topic, since less repeating has to go on.

In there interest of staying on-topic, here's a brief and easy to understand introduction to Kirlian Photography which is often mentioned in relation to auras.

lol, that's funny, the only time I had heard of human auras were previously in the topic that was talking about them. Then i thought it was a load of drivel, and now I still think it's a load of drivel, but it's interesting to see what people say, maybe someone can change my mind... biglaugh.gif

Honestly, I wouldn't be suprised if auras actually existed. Ever notice how you can 'feel' someone walk into the room... and how you can 'feel' someone staring at you. It is interesting and people should keep an open mind about these things. Maintain skeppy-ness, though!

Read "Insomniac" by Stephen King. All about auras and the other realms they exist in. I enjoyed it.
