This would be the most one sided fight since Germany invaded France. The humans would DESTROY the animals. Check out this gun our troops use right now.

This is the Barrett .50 cal Anti-Material Rifle. This gun is used by Explosive Ordinance Disposal as well as Special Forces teams. This gun is so powerful that a round from this beast can go through an inch of steel at 2000 yards just as easily as it can disable an armored personnel carrier. It's also been estimated that this thing can kill a man wearing a bullet proof vest from over a mile away. The really scary part is that before it kills him, it can rip straight through the wall of his house!!

There is NO animal on the planet that could survive this weapon. This would be used only for the big ones though. Smaller animals could be taken out with shotguns or something. But animals like elephants and whales would prove no challenge at all if they shot them with one of these. With all of our technology, there is no way the other animals on this planet could defeat us. WE WOULD PWN THEM.

There is no animal that can survive that, true. However you'd have a hard time hitting locusts for instance, and even if you did hit, there'd be plenty more where they came from.

so i think humans and animals both have an equal chance on winning, and humans have the upper hand cause we have the ability to reason.

Silly little humans, thinking they can outsmart us. biglaugh.gif

All those people who said that we can beat them with guns, nukes, tanks etc. have one large problem to deal with. SPEED. Even if you used Ratzaroony's weapon, you couldn't have enough time to kill everything. You would have to reload at impossible speeds, have inhuman accuracy, and inhuman speed. Even if you did have all of these characteristics, the ammo supply would not be able to keep up with the amount of animals which needed to be culled.

Who would win? A heavily-armed battalion vs. a migrating herd of us gnus? I can answer that for you. We would definately win. The battalion would fire round after round of shells and bullets, but to kill the migrating gnus would take 3 hours of heavy fire, and around 1 million shells and bullets. They would have to kill all these charging gnus before they reached them, which would be almost impossible. Even if they managed to do this, they would be fatigued after 20 minutes, let alone 3 hours, and that would leave space for human error. One man could make a mistake and allow a gnu into the encampment. He would be killed, leaving a space for more gnus to come in and kill more people. Even if they did not make a mistake, did not tire, and killed all the gnus before they arrived, they would soon run out of ammo.

And this is just one of millions of species there are on earth.

Trust me, you would be doomed.

Who would be doomed? Are you some sort of Gnu/Person hybrid?

And it was ratzaroony, not Kaezion who talked about the big gun, which would make barely any difference to a human effort.

OH YEAH!

That's odd, I was unaware that migrating herds of gnus were immune to mustard gas... If it were humans vs animals, we'd win hands down.

Besides, we have firmly established that viruses and microorganisms would be the death of us all.
