It'll be back sometime in the near future, not sure when, but something needs to be fixed which wasn't an issue on the previous version. It'll be up there again most likely, no worries about it. grnwink.gif

sounds fine to me.

oh, and dhamon, i think what goto was saying is that we dont just automatically assume that SeeDs play runescape or some such thing. theyre joining up for the forums, not playing online games as well. goto, correct me if im wrong grnwink.gif

Hehe, the garden system was quite useful when we were smaller in Runescape, of course, but it 'twould be nice now not to have the confusion anymore. We sure have grown a lot (*gasps at the size of our old member list*) bluetongue.gif I like the member management for each faction, simpleness. And yeah, 'twould be nice not to have to worry about validating and placing members in gardens anymore loopy.gif

Looking forward to the homepage update. Definitely would be nice to get more guides in from members in different games sometime or another, too TheSmile.gif

Broadly, yeah. More specifically, traditionally the member manager itself waas what dictated whether people were technically in SeeD or not. Those that were on the forums were generally assumed to be SeeD members, but some of them could merely have been CurvedSpace members if they wanted to. Now that the Member Manager is gone and the Factions are acting somewhat independently of each other (at least when it comes to member lists), you wouldn't necessarily be a part of the SeeD clan unless you join up for a faction.

Well, that's what I wanted to get clarified, anyway.

Since the Member Manager is mutually considered a hindrance now, and there really isn't any reason not to update the site itself, I'll get started with that madness.

As for the changes to the forums, I'll leave them for last since they're the most likely to be issues. The only exception is the Garden forums, they'll all be revamped with the site changes since they would be made obsolete as they are.

The Member Manager is likely to be locked and archived sometime during this week, could be tonight or it could be later. Really can't tell, but it will be soon. Just letting everyone know before I do it.

Thanks a lot for everyone's input, this should be another step toward making a better SeeD.

I did like the idea of the gardens but I just think that they are too much work to look after. Anyone who wants to revive them soon sees that there is a lot of effort to bringing them back. I joined just as the gardens seemed to be dieing out. The only good thing I really see about the gardens is that they will split the clan into a few smaller clans. This way when new members join, they could be put into one of the gardens and I think that they would feel more welcome, being in a smaller clan.
