It was closed because people were being insulted because of their religion and other matters. I told Dhamon and I will tell you, if you want to make another topic on it and request that any flaming not be allowed, then go for it.

I wasn't going to allow a topic to continue on with insults and flaming, even after being warned to stop. It isn't my job to dish out warnings and it isn't fun, I can just prevent the insults from happening

Make another topic and request that a debate take place, not an argument where people don't listen to each other. I'm not going to go through a 9 page topic and split all the junk out, you would have a good 2 pages left and it would take me forever.

Edit: For future reference, a topic will be deleted or closed if a mod is mentioned from now on. Cspace is serious about the reason for this board and we are now enforcing the rules of it.

We won't be doing any religious debating whilst I'm browsing the boards, is that clear? The topic is far too touchy and too many people have gotten angry over it. Due to things gone wrong in the past, I'm going to have to say we have NO MORE of those kinds of debates, hope that's clear.

If you -must- debate about something. Do it on an Instant Messanger...Not on the boards.

It's something only senior members of a while back would remember. Sometime when Muler was around....Maybe ring a bell? I'm not aloud to say it in person since it's targetting a member. Even though I'm doing it for good reason to prevent it happening again.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't do debates on religion at all...If you are, then immediately have a moderatore close it once the flaming starts, don't be a hero.

My stance on religious debating is this..

If you can stand to talk about and defend your religion without flaming anyone whilst doing so, however at the first sign of any flaming, the topic will be closed.

Debates never 'get anywhere'...you debate to express your point of view. If you change someone to your side in the process, thats fine too...but it is about discussing your viewpoint and seeing where others are coming from.

And yeah ruckus, I do know where you're coming from...what I thought you meant was that if we were to have any debate whatsoever, religion or not, to have it in SeeD chat. But yeah, I agree with you.

Debates only go somewhere if you have a weakminded opponent who has many emotions, or unless it's something that can be ended in black and white. In which case, the black or white is administered and there for it ends.
