I've just added the first two tomes to the SeeD Shop. They may seem expensive at the moment but they will be fairly important in the long run. There will also be some cheaper ones later, as well as some more expensive ones. The price is determined by a tome's importance in major quests or the story itself.

Most tomes will be potentially important in at least one quest somewhere in DStorm.

The tomes added, though, are the first parts of a couple larger volumes (which is why there is a '1' beside them). In order to gain a complete bit of information you will need to know what is in every part of the volume. The next part of "Frionia's Curse", for example, will have the title "Frionia's Curse (2)".

Seemingly unrelated tomes could potentially have some important link, and it is advised to compare what they say once you obtain more than one.

Also, while every tome will have some sort of importance, they may not all be 100% accurate. If a tome is not accurate I did it on purpose, and comparisons with other sources and tomes would be necessary to determine the truth.

Upon buying and using a tome it will be PMed to you. There could be an error relating to an invalid link, but it doesn't mean anything (just click on your inbox).

Also, how you handle the tome is up to you. This is where the story becomes significant and a character's actions could be reflected in the actual game (Age of Arcana) when it is released. You could keep the information to yourself and try to secure your own relative superiority in knowledge (and keep hidden quests away from others), try to create your own library accessible by others, or whatever else. You can even twist the tomes and give your enemies false information to throw them off. ShiftyEyes_anim.gif The only thing you cannot do is resell the information within an already used tome. You can sell a tome if it was not yet used, but if you use it do not forward the information for a profit.

So that's basically it for tomes... Expect others to appear in the future as well.

Oooh! More items-ness... biglaugh.gif

But how do we activate a quest (if there is one) if we find the relevant information to activate it?

Would depend on the information given; certain actions that could be taken to spark the events that initiate the quest. They could also provide responses to certain NPCs during unrelated quests to start another.

By the way, the first two tomes are not incredibly important at the moment and won't start anything by themselves. If one is saving Gil for something else (since the shop is new and everything), I'd recommend waiting on the tomes a little until Gil is worth slightly less.

If you can't pay for it, just look in the Great Library and the DS forums, I am sure you will find even more clues there. *goes and follows own advice*

I am still trying to work out whether to go on with the hypothesis I came up with a while ago or scrap it and come up with another. book2.gif
I have trademarked the symbol: '™'. You fail at display names.

^ Thanks to Nazy for the... thingy ^

Things which you should look at:

SKoA - http://skoa.cspacezone.com/ , if you have any Age of Empires games.

The DS Garden Festival Minigame - Link , whether you play DStorm or not.

The Most Mysterious SSSS - Link For people who don't care about...things.

Like LEGO? Play Blockland!

I may be an Arbiter, but I'll always be a SeeDy little man.™™
