As some probably know, there has been some strife on Matrix-Chat (the previous network we were on) between a few of our members and their staff. SeeD has become a burden for them, and at the same time some of our members have been requesting a move to a network that would more easily accomodate a clan such as ours.

We chose to, at least temporarily, move to QuakeNet due to its massive backing from the gaming community. It is among the largest networks out there and that in itself would allow us a little more freedom without encumbering the network we are on.

QuakeNet, however, is a little different than most would be used to. It has a bit more implied freedom, but as a result, some of the comforts of Matrix-Chat are not existent there (or in many of the other mainstream networks). For example, there is no nick registration, and keeping a channel registered is a little more difficult. However, that network has channels galore, and if things are slow for us you are free to browse around at the hundreds of other channels at your own risk.

Don't worry though, we still have our bot. bluetongue.gif

C-3PO has gone on a vacation and R2-D4 has taken his place. This is because an imposter is frequently occupying his name and R2 is a little more unique.

Don't worry though, you don't need to understand the complicated whirring of an astromech droid, I installed a translator module. grnwink.gif

So trivia, uno, acro, and everything else follows us into our new network.

Anyway, enjoy the chat, and please provide feedback in the applicable thread on the forums.  Just so you know, you may have to Ctrl-Refresh the chat page to get it to link to the new network if you have been using the chat lately.

I have trademarked the symbol: '™'. You fail at display names.

^ Thanks to Nazy for the... thingy ^

Things which you should look at:

SKoA - http://skoa.cspacezone.com/ , if you have any Age of Empires games.

The DS Garden Festival Minigame - Link , whether you play DStorm or not.

The Most Mysterious SSSS - Link For people who don't care about...things.

Like LEGO? Play Blockland!

I may be an Arbiter, but I'll always be a SeeDy little man.™™

This isn't really worthy of an extensive announcement, but I'm just saying that we switched again.  We are now logging into DALnet, which is more similar to what most are used to.  It has nickserv, chanserv, and memoserv, which means that with the exception of Neo it is basically the same as what we had.

I updated both applets to connect to the correct network.

Yay, someone listened to two of my suggestions for once TheSmile.gif

1. Move from matrix-chat
2. Go to QuakeNet biglaugh.gif

It isn't because of what happened yesterday, by going to other networks similar issues can still come up. I would not make a change like this over one member's argument with a network's staff.
