Oh, I have no problems about staying up late. My parents, on the other hand, muchly dislike it, 'specially on school nights (despite the fact that I'll be 18 at that point).
Also -- Daylight Savings Time will still be in effect on May 9, but you say EST -- perhaps you mean EDT?
Also -- by "just joking," I don't mean I want a pic of you in your boxers with a Coke bottle; I mean only that my comment was meant in a joking fashion, and that in response to the bapping, "I'm not sure I deserved that."

DST = Daylight Savings Time, which is the system involving adjusting clocks forward by a certain amount of time for part of the year.
EDT = Eastern Daylight Time, which is the time zone for the eastern part of North America while DST is in effect.
DST != EDT.
