I wouldn't really call Steve Irwin an Aussie icon, most of us didn't really like him very much, he was one of those export things really...

And I must say, it wasn't really a surprise.

He sure was a character. Yes, sometimes a little annoying. But no matter what, Australia has lost a real icon today....Rest in peace, Steve.

I can't help but feel sad for his wife and two kids.
