Slain, this is a really tough bind your in. On the one hand you can try and lie and hopefully get away clean. On the other hand you can tell the truth and hope for the best outcome. If I were you, I would tell the truth. The sooner you tell the truth, the better off both you and your girlfriend are going to be. I'll be honest, when I was dating my previous girlfriend; she called me up and told me she was pregnant. That was one of the scariest things that happened. I'll admit to you, I was sweating bullets and could not decide what to do. But truth be told, I dodged the bullet. Honestly, your best choice is doing whatever you can for your girlfriend and her child.

Since you said your going to help her however your can, that is very noble of you. You’re going to be a very positive factor in her life. Just try not to get too caught up and start putting too much time into taking care of her. You need to also take care of yourself.

In terms of the abortion, I really don’t know. It depends on the father, her, and their parents' values I'm neutral when it comes to an abortion. If there is no other option then make absolutely sure that is what she and her parents want. Whatever happens, I hope things work out for her and you. Good luck.

Sounds like she's keeping the baby. That is great, imho. And you stepping up despite the fact the child isn't yours, I could never give you enough kudos.

If she told her dad and not her mom... she may consider having her dad around when she tells her mom for support. Whenever she's ready.

This is his decision though. We dont personally know this girl. I know lots of girls who've been... around. None of them are pregnant though. Most of them are perfectly nice people that made some bad decisions, but hey, Im not going to judge them for it. You take risks, you may end up paying the consequences.
I agree with the above posts though. YOU come first, not her, especially since the baby's not yours. Very noble to stand up like that though.

First - how do you feel about this girl right now? Obviously, being 15 to your 17, you're not at the point where you can just say, "Fine, we like each other enough, get married and everything's fine."

Funny you said that, because I was going to say the exact opposite. I know that in Australia, you can legally get married at fourteen with parental consent, even though this is almost completely unheard of, probably because this is just a law that the government have not yet bothered fixing. Still, I would find out if this is the same in America, because if you can get married it would probably make the problem significantly less serious, especially if your/her parents are religious.

Having sex isn't required in a loving relationship. But do you live in Utah or something with Mormons- because it seems like this girl slept with other guys at the same time as you to were going out. I would get checked for STDs or something. Do you think her parents will let her meet you at all after this- thats for you to say, because you probably know them better than any of us.
