Found an agent that got me a meeting with Scribner's rep for my book....... hopefully gonna get a contract started. I just got a girl that I love, going to go to Europe next summer *for sure* and just finished chapter 10. I was voted MVP for football...hopefully I'll get that. And I get to see my new favorite band "Sugarcult" in concert for my birthday. So now I am wondering.....is this all too good to be true? I mean my life has always sucked...so when are my hopes and dreams and accomplishments going to come crashing down? Most likely my book will get rejected, Tristan will break up with me, Europe will be taken over by Iraq.... hooray for pessism.

Yeah. Your problem is you're waiting for things to come crashing down. Just take where life is running with you and run alongside it. From what you say, you're life has been crappy. Be that true or not, everything that is happening right now is the peak. Everything has to balance itself out, somehow. And these highlights are just the way of life saying "I know I've been a {expletive Chuck Norris'd by Cspace}, here. I'm sorry."
Don't let your guard down, is the best thing to say. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. If you love your girlfriend, and she loves you, you'll stick together. The book thing, have it go through or not, you can at least say you've done alot more than others who've written a book. Your concert will go good, I hope. And just stay with what you're doing with football, and even if you don't get that, you were considered, because someone thought well enough of you to put you in the line-up.
