Luco, that was uncalled for. This is a topic about lightening up and being friendlier in the community, so it's innappropriate to come in and insult people. It doesn't matter what happened in the past, it's unhealthy to hold grudges. That kind of tension is another thing that can drive off new members, so please try being friendlier with others no matter what kind of impression they made on you at one point. Many people on the internet turn out to be different once you get to know them, which is also why we need to open up to new members here so that they can fit in with others SeeDs and get to know people. All of SeeD's members that stick around and have been here a year + should be able to set an example for the newer guys, and also help them fit in, and if you're arguing with others, then it's harder for them to fit in.

Not really a classic troll, since he does participate in things, is active in at least one of our factions, etc.

However, the sarcasm and negative comments really can go too far sometimes. Some people around here seem to think it's okay as long as it's indirect, or they consider themselves so much smarter than their victims that connotations would go unnoticed.

There is something about Runescape that seems to lower one's writing ability, probably because getting a message across quickly can benefit you immensely. By the end of my two year stretch I was down to no sentence structure whatsoever and I skipped all words except nouns and verbs, and writing them shorthand too.

It is rather annoying I find when people don't seem to realise that it is okay to type in full sentences on a forum because there is no rush.

Did I say you were the only person doing this? I didn't nor do I think that. But the fact is that it mainly comes down to you doing the most. By insulting someone on their grammar, your putting that person down, lowering their self esteem and making them seem less of a person.

Sure you have your opinions about how you talk on the internet. But your word is not law. There are no rules against talking in shorthand. Its only a few select few who think the way you think.
