I've been thinking some about the screenshot contest I mentioned, and we can't really have any physical rewards resting on it since the screens would all be in different games. Different levels of graphics, different capabilities in-game (like fireworks), and a rather uneven playing field. Why do we need to make it serious though? Wouldn't it be more fun as an amusing free-for-all?

This is what I'm thinking... Screenshots can be taken during the Garden Festival of events or anything you want to do (even if alone), and would be submitted somewhere on the forums. Multiple screenshots can be submitted per person. Then we would have a bunch of votes conducted by everyone here for ranking the screenshots in different categories. There would probably be winning screenshots in each, and in the end, all of the screens would be placed in our gallery.

The point of this would be for fun and perhaps insanity, not much else.

If enough submit screenshots this could actually be quite amusing.

The categories would be up in the air. Members can create their own categories as they wish, and members can freely discuss them. All of this would be conducted in Creativity Corner. Then everyone can rate the screenshots according to whatever categories they wish.

... So what kinds of categories? Here are some ideas:

• Most festive (the original idea for the contest)
• Most apocalyptic
• The JGJTan Award
• Best dressed
• Worst dressed
• "Huh?"
• Feats of insanity
• Most out-of-place
• Best impersonation
• ... and whatever others we want.

I dunno, something along these lines would probably be more amusing than what was originally discussed. What do you think?
