PS3 hands down. PS3 has double XBox 360's processing power (2 teraflops to 1 teraflop) and has a stronger game line-up than the XBox 360. Sony also has a stronger fanbase with 8 million owning a PS2 while 2 million own an XBox (Australian Survey).

Fixed the poll up for you. grnwink.gif

I'd have to say the Revo. While all the systems look impressive, there's far too much emphasis put on processing power and other numbers that mean next to nothing in game. What I'm interested in is how it plays, and what there is special about it.

The Revo has the sequels to all my favourite games planned. It's also code-named the Revolution for a reason, you can bet Nintendo has a few tricks up their sleeve. It's also backwards compatible the Gamecube, and you can download games from the NES, SNES and N64 through a nintendo-provided service. And that's not even going into the controller, wi-fi straight out of the box, and a myriad of other features.

In conclusion... Super Smaaaaaash Broooooothers Revoluuuuution! coolgleamA.gif

I'm only interested in the Revolution so far, probably because theres almost nothing known about it and Nintendo are promising to do something different. Hopefully it'll do some interesting stuff with the DS as well, like downloadable demos and stuff

Not too bothered about the PS3 or 360, the only games I played on the ps2 were the GTAs which eventually get ported around anyway

although the GP2x is my next purchase bluetongue.gif

I don't know if I'll actually get any of them. But I'll probably get a PS3 eventually, just to play MGS, Silent Hill and Legacy of Kain.

Yeah, thanks for fixing up the pole for me, but as far as the hardware goes the ps3 is going to be backing a next generation nvidia card and believe me nvidia designs their cards to be top of the line quality cards. Xbox 360 is going to be backed by ati, but something amazing about the ps3 is the cell chip. It clocks in at actually 4.6 ghz not 3.6. But the amazing thing about it is that this chip can be adapted into almost any type of electronic. Pdas, computers, cell phone you name it. So it's pretty good, but Sony might just get the crap kicked out of them because they probably went overboard with blue ray and their ps3. arcadefreak.gif

Nintendo? lol10.gif Haven't you guys seen what Nintendo has done so far? I don't know about you guys, but I'm not exactly big on Mario and Donkeykong...and even if I was, it is the exact same game over and over. Kind of gets old after awhile. _sure.gif The DS is a miserable failure beside the PSP, anyone who has played and compared both can figure that out.

The PS3 might be cool, but it doesn't look promising. From what I've looked up, it is supposed to have a big engine and huge memory space, but who is going to use that much space? I almost never run out, and if I do it isn't that much trouble to buy another memory card. It doesn't look like Sony has anything promising in the recent future. Flush.gif

XBOX 360 has 6 engines, is twice as powerful as the PS3 (supposedly) and costs almost half the price. Yeah, the PS3 has two video cards, but from what I've heard the 360 is supposed to be ahead of everything that comes out for computers for atleast 2 years. Don't flame me if this isn't true, that's just what I've read. The only problem with this is that I don't need that much power or that much memory. The only reason I'm going to get it is because it has the best Live feature of any console (not including PC's, duh) and has some cool games like Halo, GTA, Unreal Championship, ect. coolgleamA.gif

PS3 will probably have realistic games, XBOX will have smooth games that play well, and Nintendo will have cartoons running around and rolling barrels. icon_sweatdrop.gif

You take your pick... Suave_anim.gif

ok... from what i heard of the new systems the new line will do pretty much what a xbox with a modchip already does but faster (except the destroying anti piracysystems and ignore regioncoding bluetongue.gif ) and the people who put a chip in their xbox get massive hard drives for them (im only picking on xbox as an example)

it plays old games (nintendo revoution)
it plays music files (probably all)
and it does others as well... but im too lazy to type all the legal uses

so... pretty much the new systems will do things that people haver to put chips into their systems to do now... except the whole cheating thing which im sure will never go away as long as there is a xboxlive game with a ranking system

well as for the revolution.... its a nintendo... and after the ds and the gamecube, i dont trust them anymore. the nes was the best

I like the Xbox 360 the best mainly because of their huge support with online games. The drawback of that is that Xbox Live costs money Icky_anim.gif . PS3 also has a few online games, but they are free to play Suave_anim.gif . I'd realistically get the PS3, but I voted for the X-360 because I like it the best, and that is what I would choose if Xbox Live was free. Forget about anything Nintendo, it sucks bluetongue.gif .
