Proposed Changes #2

1) The gaming division becomes simply the gaming category. The Game Room assimilates Balamb Garden.
2) The intellectual division becomes a category, like with the gaming division. "Operation Mi'ihen" is archived.
3) Shinra dissolves. The "Shinra Building" becomes a forum for cSpace help and stuff. That forum also assimilates the Reception Desk, and will ultimately end up in another category (either the Bridge or Stuff Category). Lastly, the Shinra category will be released into the space between internets.
4) The leaders of SeeD, the leaders of Mi'ihen, and the members of Shinra, will all have an opportunity to receive new positions.
5) The current division thing will be replaced with a more Garden-ish system. SeeD will be one of those Garden-like entities, and will be the mercenary force. Others can be made if there's interest, but there will be more restraint on their numbers than before.

2.) +2.
3.) Removes power struggles. Effective as long as more leadership roles open up.
4.) What if we're not in those? /:
5.) I like this idea, bringing back the Gardens in a way. It sparked a lot of interest in members before, each working to benefit their own Garden and providing some friendly competition.

This sounds fine with me. I'm still not sure what Mi'ihen is for. O_o
The bridge would be a good place for it to be spotted.

Just archive it .. 'cause like um .. if you send it into the space between internets you'll blow those internets. :o

Also, like Pureblade mentioned, what if you are not in such places? :o
I have a problem with gardens due to how they weren't active after awhile. I would like to know what will happen with DoA, and possibly any other guilds/clans/whatever it is. :o

Anyway, I'll see if I can create an intelligent-sounding response.
1. I'm assuming this is about combining all the gaming stuff. Sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure what the difference between a division and a category is, though.
2. Again, I'm not sure of the difference. I never really knew what the point of Operation Mi'ihen was, anyway, so it's archiving is fine with me.

3. If I understand this correctly, Shinra's forum would basically merge into one "administrative/community help" forum. I think that would make things easier. I would suggest the Bridge as its new home.
4. I'm pretty sure I don't have any positions. It doesn't have any effect on me, so whatever the rest of you think is fine.

5. The last Garden system attempt did not go very well, so I'm a bit apprehensive of a Gardenish system. Finally, making SeeD a mercenary force will mean I will officially no longer be a SeeD anymore, but otherwise I'm pretty indifferent about the whole mercenary idea.

I just meant that those who currently have positions will keep similar positions if they still want them. Those who don't have one right now can still get one later.
DoA, and any other guilds that would organize here, are immune to my scheming.

The only thing that might change is how the forums are ordered on the board index.
An excuse for PvP without clan politics.

"Garden" was probably a bad word for me to use. I only compared the new thing to Gardens because they're similarly independent entities.
What if the "Members' Guilds" category (the one with DoA) is broadened... It can include faction-like guilds (like DoA), but also things like our mercenary service. A member can belong to more than one.

Just a thought. But I like where everything is headed right now.

It doesn't really matter how much activity we have right now. If there's leadership, both DoA and SeeD can recruit and accomplish different things at the same time. That's one reason we established Gardens before we even had ten members, which worked until everyone wanted to be a Commander and we had millions of Gardens flying around.

For new ones to be made, there would either have to be a reason for it, or it would have to be a guild like DoA.
