Not enough were able to make it initially, so we're going to reschedule it to another time.

**************************************************

This is just an idea, and I know it's a little bit spontaneous (there were a few asking if we could have an event tonight)...

What if we had a series of events so all time zones could potentially come? This is tonight I'm talking about, so please reply if you're interested in coming or it could be postponed again:

(Remember to bring a hatchet and a tinder box, and if you have one, wear a blue cape bluetongue.gif )

8:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time (time in my profile): An initial party at the top floor of the Jolly Boar Inn (the one northeast of Varrock). If anyone is interested it can be a drop party of sorts, but it would be like the other spontaneous parties we had before.

When the party there starts to get boring...: We go outside and form a train to Rimmington. We take over and cut down all the trees. Then, with all our inventories full of logs, we head up to Falador and burn the blasted place down. ShiftyEyes_anim.gif (this is promotional btw, there's no way the players there wouldn't notice) We will then make a very obvious move to the north, and players may follow. This would be to separate potential new members from the crowd.

- A break will probably occur here where we may visit our banks or whatever else -

11:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (time in my profile): We meet on the deck of the ship going to Karamja (in Port Sarim). Bring some beer and stuff. We'll hold a minor insanity thing there, but it would mostly just be a meeting point. We would head to Varrock again as a train (through Draynor and Lumbridge) and stop in the center of Varrock. We will make a very obvious line in a place where it would be visible (everyone facing perpendicular to the line, toward where most players would be) and then down the remaining beer in a race (see who can drink 10 beers the fastest or something). Then we take over.

When that's over and we scared enough people: Meet directly west of Varrock and form another line. Head back to Falador, but this time we'll go to that abandoned mansion that was our old hideout. We'll have another party like the one at 8:30, for those who couldn't come (and those who wish to stay).

After That...: I dunno, maybe nothing, maybe PKing, maybe something else. Depends on what everyone feels like doing at that time.

************************************************

The purpose of this is for SeeDs to get to know each other a little bit more (like newer members and older members), as well as for promotion and recruitment. If a player asks who we are or shows interest, please respond to him or her.

There's no way we can expect everyone to be able to make it to any event, but due to the nature of this we will go ahead with it if a sufficient number can attend. Remember that more like this will happen later, so don't worry if you are not capable of making it tonight. If you can come, it would be great to have you there. TheSmile.gif

(I will post the f2p world closer to the time this is held so we can choose the one most suitable at the moment in terms of population)

This was called off because not enough could make it initially. Perhaps it can be rescheduled to later, although next weekend would not work for me. Suggestions are welcome.

You do realize that it is basically impossible to have every timezone (or even near every timezone) on at the same time? How about you guys hold 2 separate events? I know this has been suggested many times before, but it really would be a good idea. There are almost no events in RS anymore (ok, so I dont play...but I still keep up with the announcements page grnwink.gif ) and it would be really cool. That way all time zones could be accomodated. In fact, how about a whole day of nothing but SeeD events? (another impossible thing...but that doesn't really matter now, does it? bluetongue.gif )

Just get someone who is active in RS and in forums, and get them to plan the bulk of it. I'm sure someone intelligent (which marks out JGJtan) will be able to keep up with it all. Suave_anim.gif

Well, I don't necessarily need to be at an event for it to happen. grnwink.gif

Since SeeD is a member driven clan, and as were the established means of holding events for a long time (that may have been forgotten), all events for the most part are based on what members wish to hold. Events can be utterly spontaneous™ and lack any real 'leadership' and a member can still potentially get something worthwhile off the ground that many will find worthwhile. We truly are an 'everything clan', in that we don't focus on any specific aspects of the game but focus more on what the members want to do. If some want PKing, they can host PKing events (or simply notices of trips, event scheduling doesn't need to be complicated). If some like parties, they can be really easy to host if done at the right times. If someone wants to get creative they can create something new. Then again, if someone likes older events that we have had, they can host them all over again if they wish, even if they weren't the one to host it originally (although some credit would be nice grnwink.gif).

Conclusion is, with all who seem to be wanting events now, I don't know what's holding everyone back, lol.. Shouldn't be me, I have a turbulent schedule which is why my events are almost always spontaneous or close to it. Doesn't mean others can't have spontaneous events, hehe, but it's up to them.

If someone spontaneously feels like getting some gathering together all that needs to be done is to write a post to the effect of "Meet At [wherever] Now" when enough seem to be on. In the same way, one can work out something more organized as well. It is entirely up to the member, what's good for SeeD is usually what the members want to do.

While I would be glad to attend if I can, and would be glad to host events when possible, events shouldn't be scheduled around the admins because we'll just hold you back. bluetongue.gif No one needs to worry about anything official, it's as simple as a single post, and it can be as short and simple as a sentence fragment or as long and complex as your imagination would take it.

I'm just trying to bring back what SeeD has been about I guess, but it's up to the members to actually take the clan somewhere if events are what they want. thumb.gif

***************************************

Also, regarding time zones, keep in mind that it is impossible to find a time to work with everyone. When writing up more organized events, time zones can be a consideration, but if you just want to get something happening you shouldn't worry too much about it. If you are able to sign on at that time, others usually can as well. grnwink.gif Just saying this so one doesn't rethink hosting an event because of concerns of leaving people out, because it's impossible for that not to happen unfortunately. Weekdays, weekends, nights, afternoons, mornings (although you'd probably be crazy), or that blurry time when you forget your time zone during extended breaks from school, it doesn't matter a whole lot unless you wish to really get an uber event going. From the clan's perspective, a lot of smaller events is often better than a few larger events (although it's good to have some of each). grnwink.gif

Hmm well lets see when this can happen. Lets say that this is gonna happen this saturday. Post if you can make it. Then we will see how big a party its gonna be. If hardly no one can come then we will change the date and repeat the process until we find a good date and hopefully Cspace maybe able to come along with loads more.
