CurvedSpace - SeeD

It's always been confusing with the two names, and I was thinking that maybe we could make it so that the whole place is called CurvedSpace, and the RS Faction is called SeeD? I dunno, it's just always tricky having two names, and it could be easier if we just decide on one, so that we don't have people referring to the community as 'CurvedSpace' in one place, and then 'SeeD' in another.

I think we should wait for the word from Cspace on this one, probably before putting much input into it. He's the one who started both - he'll know best. Still, though, I'm going to add a poll to this topic just to see a very basic number of yes-no.

From what I get, CurvedSpace was just Cspace's site at the beginning, while SeeD was the Runescape clan. However, eventually, with the merger, things did get a bit confusing. It would be an interesting idea, which would make things a bit more... understandable.

Just wondering what other people thought about it, since if more people are on one side, it could help out Cspace's decision. He may have it figured out already though, so we'll see.

I've always considered Curvedspace to be the community and SeeD to be our RS clan.

I thought UFF was the only clan left in Runescape that was a part of SeeD. I didn't even know it was still active on there.

Also the reason this is done like this is because CurvedSpace IS SeeD, and vice versa, ignore all you know about the clan SeeD..'cause SeeD is CurvedSpace as in the forums NOT clan SeeD is a -faction- as well but In the sense of CurvedSpace/SeeD Forums we are ALL SeeDs, get it? =/ Or maybe I'm wrong?

While I can certainly see how there might be a certain amount of confusion, I'm a bit undecided on the matter. We already get dismissed as 'just a community' quite a bit, and if possible we want to hang on to the clan 'feeling' as an intergame clan.
SeeD was always the clan part, and CurvedSpace the gaming community that later got added to it. If we suddenly become CurvedSpace with a bunch of factions boards added on, I'm a bit afraid that we would become just a community.

Wasn't that our goal, though? To become a gaming community spread out into many games.

I've always thought the goal was to remain a clan, but spread ourselves out across different games. A subtle distinction perhaps, but I think it's an important one.

I'm gonna move it back for now (hope it doesn't kill it ) since this has just been on my mind a lot, and I think we really need to settle on something.

Also, if we were to make this official as I suggested, I think the 'SeeD HQ' category would no longer be needed. It's not currentl that active anyways, and it would free up space on the forums (less boards to confuse people). Plus, most talk in the SeeD HQ boards is about RS anyways, which can be done in the RS Faction forum.

I always thought CurvedSpace was the site as a whole and SeeD was the community. It is all a bit confusing.

You know when I first saw SeeD, because SeeD was seed.cspacezone.com, I thought Cspacezone was like a clan hoster website and SeeD was just one of many gaming clans hosted on it. Then when I saw www.cspacezone.com was exactly the same I got confused.

And I still am.

Looks like it has been decided. The banner now reads 'CurvedSpace'. And the Runescape faction is now called Runescape: SeeD Faction, although I can't remember if it was always called that.
